Pleural fibrosis

Usually secondary to pleural inflammation/ asbestos associated

Parietal

• low level asbestos dust exposure
• asymptomatic
• may be visible on chest radiographs

Diffuse

• high level asbestos exposure
• Usually bilateral with breathing difficulties
