Sickle Cell Trait

• Normal blood count
• Hb Electrophoresis: Hb-S 45%, Hb-A 55%
• Clinical picture - only issues in times of stress for body eg hypoxia/dehydration
• Sickled red cells have short lifespan - haemolytic Anaemia
